Yes we can!

And we are! (see Becky's blog for further explanation).

Sorry, blog temporarily out of order.

Rogue's Shakespeare stout: Mixes well with the tummy, not well with the keyboard. At the end of ffootball drafting last week, I prematurely celebrated my end of year victory by dousing the family keyboard with rich, creamy stout. After a few days of disassembling the keyboard, cleaning it, letting it dry, and reassembling it, we are back with the exception of the F11 key and 1,2,&3 keys on the key pad. Yes, I fixed it, I'm cheap, it's a Mac, and a new one is $50. So, I would like to make a shout out to my homies and apologize for the absence, which I'm not sure that anyone noticed.

I would like to take this opportunity to comment on Dogger's Dalaras video. Is it just me, or does he sound like the Greek Jethro Tull? "Hey Aqueduct Lung..."

I had the weirdest dream...

I dreamt I hadn't posted anything on my blog for over a week.

Also, my blog tries to tell me that "dreamt" isn't the proper spelling.

Weird.

Gotta go.

A new bored game.

Beat the caption.

Even though they never spoke, Steve couldn't help but notice Bill seemed distant.

Get your blog out of your heart.

Without any real surprise or fanfare, Kenny Loggins with the aide of Michael McDonald topped the "What is the Greatest Yacht Rock B-Side" with their song "This is It". For those of you who picked the winner, your reward is to be found on YouTube. Type in Yacht Rock Episode #2 and watch, if you haven't already. Jack Croupy, there's something just for you in episode #4.

Remember, keep the fire, and keep it smooth.

While you were out.

Sometimes when we are away our blogs wander and wreak havoc. Some blogs are into drugs. Some blogs are into vandalism. Some blogs get drunk and get kicked out of drag shows. This is what happened when Taintball disappeared with Stupid Thursday. I want the madness stopped. I want it stopped now.

Holy raw butt cheeks...

Please go see it. Take a loved one. Splurge for the big popcorn and yes, you want extra butter. 2.5 hours flies by with some previews that won't disappoint. I thought it was wonderful or awesome*. I laughed, I cried, I punched a senior citizen carrying a baby. In the words of the ever garrulous Beck, it was "good" and then later she added "scary". Let us know what you think.

*Please see awesome post for additional info.

Polls are closed.

Thanks for voting in the first of many weekly polls. Due to confusion with the new Mobius strip ballot, dangling Steves, misinformation in the Florida Electoral Junior College, the incompetence of Camille Paglia, bullying perpetuated by the Harry Potter fan club, and the limitations of the Commodore 64 voting stations, the winner is:

Craptastic.

Thanks again and enjoy the rest of your pastrami.

Six men enter, three men leave.

The question - Who wins in a fight between Rush and the Police?

Some thoughts:

Rush - Canadian (which means we can never really be sure where their allegiances lie, remember Canada gave us Alan Thicke), they have a song about trees or something, and the lead singer goes by a different name than the one he was born with.

The Police - British (mostly, maybe, didn't do the research, I think the drummer guy is from the states, but Stewart is a pretty English sounding name, so it may count), they have a song about stalking, the lead singer has a different name than the one I was born with.

The gauntlet has been thrown. Well not exactly... it's pretty old and I more swung it kind of violently in the air and placed it back into its carrying case.

Game on, sucka.

Veronica spelled with an E, an O, and another O.

Elvis Costello stopped by with the Police the other night to play a couple of tunes for us. It was very nice of them. We'll surely have them back, but maybe next time we'll barbeque or try some fondue. Maybe we'll try some other food genre ending in "ue".

Mr. Costello could have played longer and the Police should have played Synchronicity II, but fun was had by all. On only a couple of occastions did the Police use any backup singers or instrumentation. For the most part, it was just Sting, Andy, and Stewart, which was nice to see. I get a little sweaty when there are too many "supplemental" players to the original lineup. It may be just me.

In summation: Great show, go to see it if it comes to your town, have your dog or cat spayed or neutered to help control the pet population.

Remember to vote in the blog poll if you haven't already, only a few days left.

There goes Christmas.

I bought Officer Friendly dinner today via a $113 speeding ticket. I hope he drops the marinara in his lap and people in the restaurant laugh and point rudely. And I hope he tries the meatballs, cuz they're terrible. And I hope his after dinner mint is the one that got stuck at the bottom of the basket that got kinda wet once because it was humid outside and the air conditioning was on and dripped on the table where the candy is kept and it's a little chewy and sticky and doesn't taste quite right.

Perchance to dream...

100 places not to see before you die...

I never want to visit Switzerland again after this weekend. More later.

This is my blog, sucka.
